Therapy can be helpful if you are navigating life transitions, feeling overwhelmed, managing stress, or wanting to better understand yourself and your patterns. If you feel stuck or unsure where to start, a consultation can help determine whether our approach is a good fit for your goals.
-
The first session is a “getting to know you” conversation. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to work on. You’ll also have space to ask questions and get a feel for our approach to see if it feels like the right fit.
-
Individual therapy sessions typically last between 50 and 55 minutes.
-
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions that are not canceled or rescheduled within this time frame will be charged the full session fee.
Exceptions are made for contagious illnesses, medical emergencies, death in the family, or severe weather conditions.
If three consecutive sessions are missed without proper notice, the therapeutic relationship may be terminated. Please note that insurance companies do not cover missed or late-cancellation fees, and clients are responsible for payment.
-
Your counselor may not always be immediately available by phone or email. Messages are typically returned within 24 hours on weekdays and within 48 hours on weekends.
