Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Max Eckerson

At Restore Hope Counseling, the mission is to walk alongside you on your life journey. The work here centers on providing a caring, safe space to process trauma, find healing, and reconnect with hope. Counseling is about slowing things down, understanding what is happening beneath the surface, and supporting you as you move toward feeling more grounded and whole.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside people during difficult seasons of life. My background includes years of service within the church, growing up as a pastor’s child and later serving in ministry myself. My wife, who is also a pastor, and our three children have lived this life together, giving me a firsthand understanding of the pressures, expectations, and rewards that often come with leadership and caregiving roles.

Over time, I’ve seen how responsibility, stress, and constant availability can leave people feeling isolated or emotionally exhausted. Many carry these burdens quietly. My goal is to offer a space where those experiences can be spoken about honestly, without judgment, and where healing does not feel rushed or forced.

Clients often share that sessions feel calm, supportive, and practical, with room to process both emotions and real-life challenges. Several have described counseling here as a place where they finally felt heard and understood.
